ABOUT THE FOUNDER/DESIGNER
Trang Phung was born and raised in Saigon, Vietnam, during the height of the Vietnam War. Her mother used all of their family savings to arrange for Trang's escape to the United States on a small fishing boat. At the age of seventeen, she left her homeland, alone and without money, as a part of the “Boat People Exodus.” Surviving the stormy seas and a year long interment in the Indonesian Refugee Camp, she finally made her way to The United States where she would later help her family immigrate and reunite with her.
Despite many life challenges, Trang always managed to succeed in her endeavors. In 2010, amidst global economic adversity, she fearlessly resigned from her position as Regional Vice President of a Fortune 500 Company to enter the Fashion World, which was her dream and passion. Known for being a trendsetter, Trang set out to provide a solution for ladies, like herself, who crave exquisite couture quality at an attainable price. SEN Couture was born!
Her passion and vision allowed her to create exceptional garments that were well-received by trendsetters all around the world in a short period of time.
Trang’s accomplishments and ability to rise above her situation are represented by her Lotus Flower logo and the name SEN Couture (meaning Lotus in Vietnamese.)
Giving back to the community is important to Trang, especially helping orphans in third world countries. In addition to committing her time, Trang donates 5% of SEN´s profits to the International Kids Fund (IKF), a non-profit foundation that is dedicated to providing immediate medical care to poor and critically ill children around the world.
